Truth telling in Bulgarian hospices
Summary
Short PowerPoint presentation that I made at the conference "Bpunds of ethics in the globalized world", Bangalore, India 3-6 January 2014. Presentation contain results from my own research in Bulgarian hospices. Information could be useful during discussions of palliative care and patients' rights since right of information is a cornerstone in contemporary bioethics. Do we really inform terminally ill patients about their diagnosis and prognosis or we still prefer paternalism in medical practice?
